Just wanted to say – I’ve been to the house and it looks really great – thank you! So much better. And it was really hassle free to organise, so thank you! It is quite rare that you book in work and it just gets done on the date agreed without any phone calls etc. I really appreciated that particularly as we’ve had a lot of hassle recently with the re-wiring etc.
John wallpapered my hallway, bedroom and living room and did a wonderful job, especially in such a tricky space with difficult wallpaper. He communicated any problems to me quickly and came up with solutions. He was friendly and reliable, and his pricing is very fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again, and highly recommend him.
John decorated our hall, staircase and landing. He worked quickly and efficiently and to an excellent standard. The house is an old one and presented a number of problems which John was able to resolve. We are delighted with the results and will definitely use John’s services again.
John painted our 3 bedroom house over the summer. He did a great job. The logistics were a bit complicated as it required moving all the furniture around the house sequentially but John was able to work around that and help as needed. Everything was kept tidy and to the agreed time frame. His pricing model is transparent so that it is easy to understand how he arrives at the total for the job. John works at an incredible pace and with great precision. We were so impressed with the job he did on our lounge (walls and woodwork) and have received so many compliments. So much so that he is now coming back to do other rooms in our house. John is also incredibly neat, not leaving a speck of dirt behind. We would highly recommend him. His work is head and shoulders above any other decorator we have used.
John completely redecorated my open plan flat. All walls filled, cracks made good Arrived on time and even worked at the weekend to get finished in good time. He helped with advice and samples when choosing colour scheme. The woodwork was painted to blend in. All rubbish was cleared away Very happy with the finished result.
John has just completed the last bedroom in our house and has painted the kitchen, dining room, hall stairs and landing and various bedrooms. He has managed to do all this whilst working round other trades and keeping his sense of humour. Nothing is too much trouble for him and we’ve found his work to be of an excellent standard. This was John’s second decorating project for us in 2022. We have also used him on numerous occasions in the past and have always been delighted with his work.
John worked really hard to complete a job decorating a living room and dining room in a flat we let before a new tenant arrived. He stacked and protected the furniture without any fuss, returning it to its place at the end of the job and did a really good job. He was considerate to the neighbours and worked around the occupying tenant quietly and considerately. He worked really hard to complete the work in as little time as possible.

John has just finished a job for me that I needed doing at very short notice following some building work and I’m very pleased with it. He always does a proper job, meaning he never cuts corners (I’ve used him a number of times before) and gives good, carefully considered advice. He is very reliable, turns up when he says he will, keeps in good communication, and is not happy until you are satisfied with the job.
John did a fantastic job on our hall stairs and landing. A lot of preparation was needed as this area had not been decorated for many years, and the prep was done to a very high standard. He was patient with my dithering about colours and his advice was spot on. He works very hard to bring the job in on time, and the final result is outstanding. All round I can recommend his work unreservedly.
John has painted the entire inside of our house in the last 6 months. He has done an amazing job for us. He has removed copious amounts of wood chip, lined walls, filled holes, plastered where necessary and kept his sense of humour! He has worked with us whilst lots of other trades have been in and still managed an excellent job. The hall stairs and landing look wonderful as do all the other rooms. We cannot recommend him enough. He’s a painter with many additional skills who will do a great job for you.

John did a big decorating job for us a few years ago and we were so pleased with the work that we called him back without hesitation when we moved house. The new place needed major work done to modernise it and the old decoration was tough to remove. John completed everything in good time, solved problems creatively and he has transformed the house into a lovely bright living space. John and Hutch were great, I was moving house and they decorated before (and during) the house move. They were organised and efficient and helped with figuring out how to dismantle a large wardrobe so it could go up the stairs, they also put it back together at the top. Work far and above expected.

They always started early at 07.30 hrs and finished early at 15.30 hrs to avoid car parking problems. Furthermore they made excellent recommendations concerning other trades they had worked with.
